Poinsett County Jail Roster
The official Poinsett County current inmate roster is free to search and did not require a login in the reviewed browser flow. It covers current inmates held at the Poinsett County Detention Center. The sheriff homepage also links a released-inmate path and a 48-hour release view. Full retention beyond that recent release path was not located, so old jail inmate records may require a public-records request instead of an online search.
The roster is run through the sheriff's official website. It is the correct first source for local jail custody, including people awaiting trial, warrant arrests, county sentences, municipal-court sentences, parole or probation holds, state waiting-bed holds, and other-agency holds. It is not the same as the Arkansas DOC locator, Search ARCourts, the federal BOP locator, ICE ODLS, or VINELink. Each system answers a different custody or records question.
Search Poinsett County Inmates
Use the roster when the person may still be in the Poinsett County Detention Center. Start broad if only a partial name is known. The roster accepts a first or last name, and it also supports current and released tabs, name and date sorting, newest-to-oldest sorting, oldest-to-newest sorting, pagination, and a Show All button.
- Open the official sheriff roster and accept the disclaimer if the browser asks for it.
- Choose Current for a person believed to be in jail, or Released for a person who may have just left custody.
- Enter a first name or last name. The roster does not require a date of birth, booking number, or arresting agency.
- Sort by date for a recent arrest, or by name when resolving similar names.
- Open the profile link to read the booking number, mugshot, age, demographics, booking date, charges, and bond warning.
- Call detention staff at 870-578-2116 before posting bond or relying on charge and case-number details.

Poinsett County Roster Search Fields
The Poinsett County jail roster is a name-first system. It is useful when a caller knows only part of a person's name, but it also means online search results must be compared carefully. For common names, the booking date, age, profile detail, and jail phone confirmation reduce the risk of matching the wrong person.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Search By Name / Enter first OR last name | Text | No or unspecified | Single text input accepts first or last name. |
| Name | Sort/tab link | No | Sorts or lists entries by name. |
| Date | Sort/tab link | No | Sorts or lists entries by booking date. |
| Current | Filter/tab link | No | Shows current inmates. |
| Released | Filter/tab link | No | Shows recent release records available through the roster path. |
| Search / Show All | Buttons | No | Runs the name search or clears it. |
| Pagination | Links | No | Page numbers, Next, and Last links appear when needed. |
Poinsett County Inmate Profile Fields
An inmate profile is a custody snapshot. It can be enough to confirm that a person is currently listed in Poinsett County jail custody, but it does not replace a court file or a live bond quote. The sample profile inspected in the research showed a booking number, age, gender, race, booking date and time, a mugshot, and one charge entry. It did not show housing, arresting agency, a court date, or a release date.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Booking Number | A numeric identifier for the jail booking. |
| Booking Date/Time | The date and time entered on the profile, using the county roster format. |
| Name | Full uppercase name on the profile and name display on listing cards. |
| Mugshot | A single public booking image when available. |
| Demographics | Age, gender, and race were visible on the inspected profile. |
| Charges | Charge text such as Act 309, bench warrant, DWI, negligent homicide, ADC sentenced, or failure to appear. |
| Bond and case numbers | Not guaranteed online. The profile says to call detention staff for current bail, charges, and case numbers. |
Poinsett County Current and Released Records
Use Current for a person still in the Poinsett County Detention Center. Use Released, or the sheriff homepage link labeled as a recent release path, when a person may have bonded out, completed a short sentence, transferred to another agency, or moved to state custody. The research found a 48-hour release link but did not find a full public archive policy for older releases.
When a released person no longer appears online, Arkansas public-record rules become the fallback. Ark. Code § 13-4-404 defines jail booking records and requires at least five years of retention before disposal under the county judge and sheriff process. Arkansas FOIA, Ark. Code § 25-19-105, generally allows inspection and copying of public records by Arkansas citizens during regular business hours unless an exemption applies.
Poinsett County Jail and DOC
The Poinsett County jail roster and Arkansas DOC search overlap only at the edges. The jail may hold people sentenced to and awaiting state prison beds, on Act 309 or work status, or on a state backup list. The DOC locator is still the proper statewide source for the Arkansas Division of Correction inmate population. It includes Poinsett County as a county field and includes Poinsett Co.309/Work and Poinsett County Waiting List as facility options.
| Custody | Where to Look | Important Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Pretrial county jail | Poinsett County sheriff roster | Charges and bond can change after court. |
| Recently released | Roster Released tab or 48-hour release path | Long-term online retention was not published. |
| Sentenced Arkansas prisoner | Arkansas DOC inmate search | Not a local pretrial jail roster. |
| Federal sentence | BOP inmate locator | Covers federal inmates from 1982 to present. |
| Immigration detention | ICE ODLS | Cannot search minors under 18 per ICE result text. |
Poinsett County Jail Contact
Call the jail when online records are incomplete, when bond is being posted, when charges have just changed in court, or when a roster search fails. The sheriff profile warning is direct: charges and bail amounts may change after court appearances and may not be current. Bond companies and people wishing to post bail should contact detention staff for the correct bail amount, charges, and case numbers.

Poinsett County Booking Process
The county did not publish a local step-by-step intake page, so the best source is the detention page, the public roster, and Arkansas jail-log rule 12 CAR § 50-503. The likely public-facing path is arrest or warrant service, transport to the detention center, identity verification, jail log entry, property inventory, booking photo and fingerprints, charge or warrant entry, screening, and a roster listing when staff or the system publishes it.
The jail-log rule requires a detention record with intake and population data, arrest and confinement times, release time, reason for confinement, offense classification, arresting officers, warrant or commitment data, and other common data. It also says fingerprints, DNA samples, and photographs are taken and forwarded as required by state or federal law. That rule explains why individual roster profiles include booking dates, charges, demographic fields, and mugshots.
Poinsett County Jail Visits
The sheriff site reviewed for this build did not publish a full in-person or video visitation schedule, dress code, vendor, or visit length for the Poinsett County Detention Center. Do not rely on a third-party schedule for this jail without checking it against the facility. Call 870-578-2116 before travel, especially if the person was recently booked, released, transferred, or placed on a state hold.
| Visit Item | Published Status | What to Do |
|---|---|---|
| In-person schedule | Not published in official source set | Call the detention center before traveling. |
| Video visit vendor | Not confirmed for the county jail | Do not apply Arkansas DOC Securus rules to the county jail unless staff confirms. |
| Visitor ID | Property pickup requires valid photo ID | Bring government-issued ID and ask about visit rules. |
| Property release | Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. | Inmate must submit a Property Release request form. |
Poinsett County Inmate Mail and Funds
Mail and money rules are more detailed than visitation rules. Regular postal mail moved to Smart Communications / MailGuard effective July 1, 2024. Letters, postcards, and cards go to Smart Communications / Poinsett County Detention Center, inmate name and booking or ID number, PO Box 9201, Seminole, FL 33775-9201. The outside envelope must clearly print the inmate's name and booking or ID number.
Money can be added through CSG Pay or the lobby kiosk. The facility ID is 24082, and the sender needs the inmate ID. Tiger Commissary handles food commissary orders. Fees were not located in the official sheriff source, so confirm costs with the vendor or facility before sending funds.
| Service | Rule or Provider |
|---|---|
| Regular mail | Smart Communications / MailGuard scanning address in Seminole, Florida. |
| Books | Two softback books may be mailed to the jail address and addressed to the inmate. |
| Deposits | CSG Pay online or lobby kiosk, facility ID 24082, inmate ID required. |
| Food commissary | Tiger Commissary handles food orders. |
| Drop-off property | Medications, Bibles, eyeglasses, and contacts; medications can be dropped off any time. |
Note: Confirm custody and inmate ID before sending money because release, transfer, or state status can change quickly.
Poinsett County App and VINELink
The Poinsett County Sheriff's Office has an official app download page. The research confirmed the app page exists, but the static source did not verify app-only roster or warrant features. Link through the sheriff page rather than claiming an app-only search tool. For status alerts, use Arkansas VINELink, which provides custody notification by phone, email, text, or TTY.
